The Western Canadian Pediatric AIDS Society (WCPAS) - Camp Moomba is pleased to be involved in the 17th annual Whistler Gay & Lesbian Ski Week, WinterPRIDE. This is the 6th year that we have been involved with the ski week which is attended by 1,000+ guests and has helped us raise over $80,000 to send HIV impacted children to Camp Moomba. This year we are running a silent auction at the United Colours of WinterPRIDE Fashion Show - February 7th at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre. All of the money raised goes directly to bringing children impacted with HIV/AIDS to camp.
For those of you that are not familiar with the WCPAS, we are a registered charity that operates Camp Moomba, a summer camp for children impacted by HIV/AIDS. Last year we brought 107 children from across Canada to the 10th annual summer camp. Every year, we provide camp for the children at no cost to the families. Our vision is for Kids affected by HIV/AIDS to be forever empowered by lifelong friendships and a supportive community.
